Founded in 2012

The Louis T. Shelton Love Outreach Ministry organization gives a monetary scholarship to high school graduates every year. One criteria is to have earned a GPA of 2.5 or better, two letters of recommendation, and acceptance letter from the college selection board. Student complete an application summarizing church and community involvement. Finally, students are asked to write an essay from one of the given topics.

Students attending Union Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Tabernacle St. Louis, St. Luke’s Missionary Baptist Church, and Phillips Memorial Church, and True Praise Worship Center are given applications for their graduating seniors to be considered.

As part of our community outreach, students attending a St. Louis Public High Schools are eligible to submit a scholarship application.

After the selection process is complete an awards luncheon is held in honor of the recipients. Graduates are given a monetary scholarship amount of $500.00 divided $250.00 per semester.
